Alpha: The leader of the pack. Confident, strong, intentional, and successful.

Beta: Your average nice guy living an unexamined life.

Churchianity: A soft version of Christianity in line with Pietism that supplants dogma, doctrine, theology, and creeds with appeals to emotionalism. The religious practice of Churchianity is not based on objective norms but rather what it means to “be church” or “become a community” (whatever that means). If your congregation has a female pastor, you are officially an adherent of Churchianity.

Frame. The strategy for maintaining leadership, influence, and attractiveness in commerce, community, family, and matrimony. Frame consists in the projected morals, attitude, and confidence that a man learns to instill over time. Philosophically, it relates to the virtues of prudence and fortitude.

Matrimony: From the Latin mater (mother) and –monium (suffix signifying “action, state, condition”). Matrimony brings about the state of motherhood, that is, children. The Maccabee Society prefers the conceptive term “matrimony” over the word “marriage” or “union.”

MGTOW: Men Going Their Own Way. Men who are angry at feminism and decide boycott all women by not dating or marrying. Sometimes MGTOW men call themselves “Zeta Males.” Maccabee Society holds that MGTOWs are puerile losers. They are the union workers on strike.

Natural Law: The law in the heart of every human that inclines to seek the good and avoid that which is evil.

Omega: The extreme opposite of the Alpha Male. It’s the guy who finishes last in everything. The ultimate jabroni. Don’t be an Omega. Follow the path of virtue and self-improvement with regard to your soul, body, family, and career.

SMV: Sexual Market Value. Refers to the perceived value of a man or woman to the opposite sex. Eg. “Sean Connery maintained high SMV throughout his life with the American female population.” For younger men seeking to marry, understanding the dynamics of SMV are essential.

Many Christian men wrongly assume that praying and going to church dramatically raises their SMV with Christian women. Wrong. How often do we hear young men complaining about how that beautiful Christian young lady passed over all the church boys and married the nominally Christian guy – the man dripping in success.

The articles and posts on the Maccabee Society will help you understand and elevate your SMV. Younger men can raise their SMV through confidence, strength training, financial success, real status (not status symbols), and earned respect from men (and women).

Thomism: The Christian philosophy and theology of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Trinitarian: A Christian believer in the Blessed Trinity. One divine substance. Three divine Persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are co-eternal and consubstantial. Read Nicene Creed for details.

Virtue: A repeated habit of good and righteous actions. Doing a good thing once, is not a virtue. Virtue consists in repeating it and making it habitual. The four cardinal virtues are: prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. The three theological virtues are faith, hope, and charity.

WESTSOC: Western Society. The Christian patrimony of the West that brought about 90% of technological, medical, academic, scientific, and political advances on planet earth. It should be defended and preserved.
